YALJ (Yet Another Lawyer Joke)

A doctor and a lawyer are at a party. One of the doctor’s patients walks up to the doctor and asks about her swollen elbow.

The doctor asks her a lot of questions about her condition, thinks for a while, and finally advises her what to do. Off she walks.

The doctor then turns to the lawyer and says “gee, we talked a long time, I wonder if I should send her a bill for giving her the advice?”

The lawyer responds “Yes you should.”

So the doctor sends the patient a bill.

Two days later he gets a bill from the lawyer.
